      Obesity: It’s officially a disease
The nation’s largest physician group officially recognizes obesity as a ‘disease’ instead of a ‘disorder.’ Here’s what the name change will mean at the doctor’s office.

Olympus, meet your replacement. Word on the street is he’s a bit of a rebel.

Did some advertising graphic work for my cousin’s business, Vaughn Family Photography. She went from a huge folder that her printing company created for her to 4x8 card stock rack cards that showcase her beautiful photography. I also created a door magnet for her car.

BlissManifesto - They said it’s a normal symptom of hypothyroidism, which is something that I was diagnosed with when I was younger. It’s also part of the reason I started gaining weight even thought I was still eating properly and working out. You know it has to be a medical thing when you’re training for a half and you’re gaining weight. Ugh.

Erin - I’m going to try to. Probably the only good thing that came out of it was they referred me to a specialist for hypothyroidism. I just have to find out how much it’s going to cost since I have no insurance and really don’t have a job either. :/

JunkYard-Gypsy - Yeah. They do suck. They asked my history and I told them about the hypothyroidism and they just blew my symptoms off. I guess it’s better to lie about your medical history sometimes. Yes, I have hypothyroidism, but how do they know that’s what’s causing my problems? I could have some serious issue going on and they wouldn’t know it because they failed to do any tests other than a pregnancy, which wasn’t needed for anything that I did other than the stupid pain meds they prescribed, which I told them I didn’t need. My minor headache was simply from not eating for over 24 hours.

TwentyTwoToLife - Thanks. I’m hoping I’ll be able to see someone else. I just have to figure out how I’ll afford it because I’m so over feeling like this. I’m more hormonal than a pregnant woman and have hot flashes like I’m going through menopause. It really sucks and I’ve dealt with it since 1994.
