A few days ago my dad’s cousin went to the ER because she was having extreme pain in her hip and couldn’t even move. When she says she hurts you know it’s bad. She’s suffered with breast cancer in the 90s and bone cancer within the past few years. They ended up finding out that her hip is fractured. The only thing she can think that cause it was her PT on Tuesday.

Now today, her brother fell off a tractor trailer and broke his back. Somehow he managed to break it in two, but not cause damage to the spinal cord so he’s not paralyzed. They are doing surgery to put pins in his back tomorrow. This cousin is the one that I visited in Kansas in October. I really wish he was closer so we could go see him. I don’t know if my dad has thought about going or not, but I wouldn’t be able to right now.

I’m sore, drained, icky, and probably slightly burned…but I feel amazing.

First time out of the sun since I got here at 2! Seen a lot of sexy bikes and probably don’t want to know how much some of the bikes I’ve held up while numbers were attached are!

The board loved the race idea and want me in charge

I may be downing my first ever 5 hour energy today…since I have some from races that I never drank.

Too much on my mind. I think I have everything squared away for the board meeting tomorrow. I’m hoping they will all love the race idea.

I’m also super excited about the Ironman. Am I really going to be among Ironmen and future Ironmen in less than 12 hours? And be there as those futures take the last step declaring they ARE Ironmen?

Also excited about the possibility of becoming a Wilton Instructor. I have to go over the PDF I was sent and set up an interview.

And my mind keeps thinking about all the cake orders I have coming up next month. Especially the big order on the 26th. I have to put a lot of thought into that one.

Just a 3 hour nap before the board meeting…please? Otherwise this day will be a lot longer than I imagined.

I was just contacted by Wilton about a position as a cake decorating instructor. It’s very part time (2 days a week average) and pay depends on how many people attend, but it’s something I’m interested in and will work well with me doing my cakes.
